60 Days of Beauty Day 11 the afternoon nap

Since most of the year I work 6 days a week I usually reserve Sunday for a nap but today after doing some work outside in the garage I was able to crash not out of exhaustion but more out of boredom it was a great nap I highly recommend it. I did miss the IU vs Kentucy game and bummed me out but im OK with it.

60 Days of Beauty Day 10 College years

Took Z and K over to Bethel to watch a BBall game and it turned out to be Ugly Christmas sweeter night at the game for the students and they sang Silent Night almost half of the first half it was awesome. I really appreciated the respect and kindness they showed each other and the opposing team the students seemed to be enjoying themselves no drunken swearing or yelling obscenities at the refs and was a truly fun evening and something I hope Z and K will appreciate no matter were they chose to go to college.

60 Days of Beauty Day 9 Good News

There is something totally awesome about good news from you Dr I am just totally amazed at how the human body works and the things they can do to repair it. My day 9 is the beautiful news that the pain in my repaired hip was tendinitis and not the metal parts coming loose. X-rays are so cool.

60 Days of Beauty Day 8

I am posting this a little late because I didn't post it yesterday which makes it late the next day...

My day 8 of this journey of 60 Beauty is Pizza yep it's pizza. Many of you know that I meet my wife in a pizza place (Jimtown Pizza) and she has worked there now for over 20yrs part time and we both share a love of good pizza and have been known to walk blocks for it in Chicago.
So on Wednesday night which has become our date night we traveled to Goshen to try a place called Il Furno and we were presently surprised by the Beautiful 14 inch pizza that brought to our table it was a very good pizza so YES a pizza was something I found beauty in for my day 8.

60 Days of Beauty Day 7 Remebering

December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy. It is a day for many that will forever haunt them but it reminds me of the beauty in remembering those that gave their lives in defense of not only their freedom but in defense of generations to come. I have an older friend that lost an older brother at Pearl Harbor and he is proud of his brother for his sacrifice for us.
I will admit I struggle with some people when they talk about the sacrifices these men and women made during WW2 and that our young men and women soldiers are making today and they miss the fact the Jesus sacrificed himself for their life 2000+yrs ago freeing them from the bondage of sin.

Remembering Sacrifice is my 60 Days of beauty Day 7

60 Days of Beauty Day 6 Snow Flakes

I will admit this was a fairly easy one for me as I was watching the big fluffy flakes of snow fall today it dawned on me that they are yet another thing created by God that man cannot recreate now don't get me wrong there isn't a ski area worth it's weight in fresh powder that doesn't "make snow" but it isn't the perfect individual flakes that fall naturally it is a granny frozen impersonator. Again nobody does it like God each flake is different just like each of us.

60 Days of Beauty Day 5

I contemplated this for a while yesterday and concluded that a well run NFL offense is a beautiful thing for Day5. A well run offense cannot be handled by just anybody it takes tons of practice and patience to do what those guys do.
